Cover of Harry Nilsson’s 1941. This was requested by a friend of mine. I’m afraid I was a little too ambitious with this one and didn’t turn out quite as I would’ve liked. I sort of rushed through the mixing process and didn’t correct some things I should have. Hope it’s not too disappointing.
Cover of “Waltz #2” by Elliott Smith. Not for sure if this one turned out right. I wanted to do a version of it after I started working on my cover of “The Biggest Lie” as this is my favorite Smith song even though I’m not just a huge fan of his. I was hoping to get two covers done today as I was requested to do Harry Nilsson’s “1941” but I don’t think I’ll get around to it today. Will get it done next week though. Now I can finally get my guitar back in standard tuning.
Cover of “John Wayne Gacy Jr.” by Sufjan Stevens. I originally wanted to make this sound kind of Simon and Garfunkelesque but I couldn’t get it to sound right. In the end I settled for this.
Cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “The Ghost of Tom Joad.” Sorry I had to post this a day later than I promised. Tumblr was having issues yesterday.
