Back’s much better today and I might even get to record some new songs in the next few days. In the meantime here’s an incomplete song for an incomplete concept album I came up with. I thought doing a song based on Plato’s Republic would be a good idea, but it soon became apparent that I couldn’t sum up the whole book in one song. So then I thought about doing a concept album with each song based on a different chapter (there are ten chapters in the book so I thought this would be fitting). Ultimately the task proved too great and petered out after writing a sum total of four lines, which sums up the first paragraph or so of the first chapter. Laziness got the better of me.

Piraeus

I went down to the Piraeus to attend a festival
In honor of a new god I had never heard before
After hours of walking my feet were mighty sore
So I thought it was time for me to head back home
