I had a series of strange dreams last night and in the morning (or more technically afternoon) I was left with this question: What impact, if any, has the concept of the dichotomy of god (that is if something good happens it’s the result of god’s grace or mercy and if something bad happens it’s the result of god’s will or wrath) had on Western development in terms of society, politics, or religion in general?
