Coked Up Cowboy

COKED UP COWBOY
Long time ago in this town of mine
And I haven’t got much time for time
But I believe it was on a Sunday afternoon
Now that I think about it, might’ve been a Monday
Coulda been a Tuesday, I know it wasn’t Wednesday
It doesn’t really matter much anyhow
When the coked up cowboy came riding into town
With a Bible in his pocket and a cross upon the ground
Everyone in town was a-running out the door
Smoking crack in the name of the Lord
Well he got off his horse and took off his hat
Said his name was Bill or something like that
And proceeded to tell us all about the Lord Jesus Christ
Well, I don’t know much about heaven or hell
But one thing I can sure as hell tell
Is a coked up cowboy who’s talking out his ass
I said, “Hey, Bill, or whatever it is
If you never wanna see a meaner man get pissed
Then you better mosey on up and get out of town”
He said, “You can’t make me” and I said, “Oh, yeah?”
Then I told him to get his hands in the air
Then I beat the living shit out him just for talking shit
When the coked up cowboy comes riding to your town
With a Bible in his pocket and a cross upon the ground
And everyone you know goes running out the door
Smoking crack in the name of the Lord
