Skeptic’s Christmas

You bought me a present
And wrapped it in paper
And stuck it under the tree
Where it’s waiting there for me
I did the same for you
And I hope you like it
I found it on sale
At the Dollar Tree

You don’t believe in Santa
And I don’t believe in God
But we’re full of skeptic merry Christmas cheer

All the lights are shining
Outside our window
And tacky Christmas ornaments
Are strewn out on the lawn
All the neighbors are walking
And singing their carols
It wouldn’t be so bad
If they could only sing on key

I hope we bought enough egg nog
Cause it’s gonna be a long night
And we’re gonna need a lot
I think we’re gonna need more booze
Cause a sober Christmas morning’s
Like a sober night in June
Except with Christmas tunes
